Excited to finally get started with DailyUI!
One of the criticisms of the Daily UI challenge, and for Dribbble in general, is that oftentimes people's designs aren't "practical", or aren't "functional". Although I hear their point, every design should have an intent, which is to solve a user need. In the case of less "practical" designs, sometimes the designer is also the user, and their need could be anywhere from wanting to play with a larger breadth of color palates, to experimenting with their own illustration styles, to an infinite number of options.
I'm looking forward to the Daily UI project because it gives me a chance to break out of my team's style guide and my employer's brand, and gives me the freedom to start playing around with defining those aspects of a design myself.
Will it *always* be functional? No. Will is always solve a user need? Absolutely.
End rant. Enjoy 🤗
