Some more experimenting. Although not practical yet with the current browser climate (getting better fast however), it works well. It also saves plenty of space. I did experiment with roll and flipping around but this worked the best. A demo here for those interested:

(Only optimized for Chrome on Mac, I couldn't be bothered making it work cross-browser while only prototyping)
