055 Egg chair

Designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1958 for the Radisson SAS hotel in Copenhagen, Denmark and manufactured by Republic of Fritz Hansen. Jacobsen molded the Egg Chair out of a strong foam inner shell under the upholstery. The result is a wholly unique shape that surrounds the user, affording privacy in otherwise public spaces.
