049 Fiskars scissors
Designed by Olof Bäckström for Fiskars in 1967, the flagship orange-handled scissors have sold over 1 billion since then. The scissors have an ergonomic shape that fits the hand perfectly and help masssively in situations of prolonged use. One of the main success factors is the use of plastic material, which compared to the heavier and more expensive metal scissors it was a huge leap in terms of comfort and affordability.
