Bee in the City bee design

I designed this back in January for an art event coming to Manchester in the summer. They'll be 80+ 6ft bees all around the city and my design excitingly got shortlisted down from 350 designs. Unfortunately, it didn't find a sponsor last week but I'm still proud of it!

It's called "Gothic Patternopolis" and features patterns inspired by 3 Gothic and Gothic Revival buildings in Manchester; the staircase in John Rylands Library, the stained glass windows of the Town Hall and the ceiling in the Cathedral. I'm hoping to develop these patterns into a series throughout the year!
