P - Pulsar. Pulsars are rotating neutron stars that form when a massive star collapses in on itself. They are about the size of a large city but contain more mass than the sun. Pulsars appear to flicker because as they spin, the steady beams of radiating light sweep across the Earth then swing out of view - like a lighthouse!
