Strange Material Mini Site
had the unique opportunity to design a small site and a series of collages for Strange Material, a cassette label from Toronto focusing on experimental music.
creating this site was a unique chance to use "reverse UX" -- the label values mystery, exclusivity, inaccessibility, and absolute minimalism very highly, so i had to use those as the core tenets of my design instead of standard UX goals. thus, i offered a mailing list for updates, opted to have users directly contact the label to place an order rather than including a webstore, and eliminated all information other than what can be bought.
the site itself can only be reached through a link hidden behind a hero image, which rotates between the collages i created every time a new collection is released, adding to the site's already strong "if you know, you know" feel.
