Michigan Central Station - Boarding Pass Enamel Pin
The iconic Michigan Central Station Operating from 1913 to 1986, respectfully, Once the pillar of Detroit, the Station then sat dormant for decades after the final train departed. Threatened by weather, vandalism, and demolition — The station has came a long way from neglect, earning a Historical landmark status, as well as progressive redevelopment.
The Boarding Pass pin is a reflection of a pass typical in the gilded age of Michigan Central Station. Before modern technology, a platform attendant would simply verify the ticket, sometimes with markings, or a punch hole.
