Michigan Central Station - Train 353 Enamel Pin
The iconic Michigan Central Station Operating from 1913 to 1986, respectfully, Once the pillar of Detroit, the Station then sat dormant for decades after the final train departed. Threatened by weather, vandalism, and demolition — The station has came a long way from neglect, earning a Historical landmark status, as well as progressive redevelopment.
At its peak, Michigan Central Station moved up to 5,00 passengers a day. Train 353 was the last passenger train to depart The Station in early January 1988. The Station saw limited freight use, but ultimately that ceased as well. The pin was created to celebrate Train 353, and provide optimism that mass transit will return to The Station in a new and welcomed form soon.
