This book is not, as it might seem, a juxtaposition of hundreds of inventors operating over the hundred years of the functioning of the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland. In this juxtaposition, which goes into the hands of the readers in the jubilee year, there are inventors operating in Polish territories in the past two centuries, but also Polish emigrants and their descendants living abroad, which Poland was close to and who willingly admitted to ties with their homeland ancestors. These hundred chosen inventors were arranged in chronological order, for the key date assuming a year,
which is their most important or the most characteristic achievement.
