Rugeley Historic Antlers
Just a little doodle of the historic antlers that feature on the railway bridge in Rugeley.
The original lamp standard in the shape of antlers was donated by the railroad company to the people of Rugeley in 1859 when the railroad was brought through our town. They were removed sometime around 1975/6 when the bridge needed repair and not put back up.
Through lots of hard work and campaigning, my neighbour Dave Lucas was able to restore the original antlers back to heath and get them back where they belong.
