Words Are Never Perfect

Words are never perfect. As Shunryu Suzuki wrote: "When we say something, our subjective intention or situation is always involved. So there is no perfect word; some distortion is always present in a statement."

Inspired by that idea, I created this illustration to capture this "distortion" that springs from our past experiences, our incessant insecurities and our half-articulated hopes.
