Sephora: Style Guide

Style guides are EVERYTHING! I can't emphasize enough what a key role they play in tying everything together in a product. They not only ensure interaction and visual cohesiveness, but they're a huge help in making the process of design iterations and dev handoff much more efficient and consistent.

When I was redesigning Sephora's iOS app, one of the main projects was putting together their first robust style guide which outlined design patterns, states, icons, and more. Everyone, from fellow designers, PMs, and developers, appreciated having a design system in place for its ease-of-use and accountability. This UI kit was then used as the basis for style guides on the Android app and desktop/mobile website.
