966
Graphics made for the National Cultural Centre to celebrate the 1050 anniversary of the Baptism of Polish*. Distributed statue Światowida** with retrofitted crossbar.
* In 966 Mieszko I (ruler Polish) was baptized. It is recognized that since then Poland is a Christian country. In fact, the original faith "paganism", a long time yet occurred - and this in a significant amount of the population (up to the fifteenth century, and probably longer).
** Światowid from Zbrucz - the most recognizable statue, representing the pre-Christian faith in Poland. Totem was dedicated (perhaps ***) deity Światowida (in. Świętowit).
*** Very little is known about the pre-Christian faiths on Polish soil. It was carefully removed. Remained only a trace of superstition, customs, culture, etc.
Sorry for my English.
I have to use a translator :P
