Photoshop tip: button gradients

Here's another microtutorial that some of you may know but others might find revelatory! This one's about avoiding the tedious & annoying layer style gradient picker. Really useful for making buttons that are easy to recolor quickly.

Whenever I can, I blend a black/white gradient on top of a solid color, instead of using an actual colored gradient. This way, the layer palette fill color reflects the actual layer accurately, and you don't have to deal with going like 5 clicks deep to change the color. Make sense? Awesome.
