Special sauce for this one: the body colors are rendered by separate ring shapes. Those shapes are then composited on to the body shape. The rings are bigger than the body. You can detect a mismatch as you rotate up & down.

Black outlines are rendered by duplicating all shapes & rendering them before the 'positive' shapes. Cut-in strokes are extra shapes that rotate with the camera. Not quite Dragon Ball FighterZ.
