Craigslist home

This is one very quick sample I tried out after coming across the challenge on Uplabs.

I believe that all the Craigslist-like sites are the way they are, for a reason. Exploration isn't difficult at all, for a site this old! No wonder they've not changed.

Here's my reason they haven't- Everything on the website follows the web standards, link colors, dropdown styles etc. And 'standards' are things that stay the same for a long time. But UI these days has become very dynamic. You change the design once, you gotta keep changing it just to catch up to the design standards.

And in today's diverse design ecosystem this is just one way to do it. How do you like it?
