Raise

As you probably know, the American college system is broken. Every year, thousands of gifted students decide not to pursue higher education not because of grades, motivation, or aptitude—but because they can't afford to.

Raise wants to fix this by rewarding high school students for doing what they normally do. Colleges will give "microscholarships" to students for fulfilling various academic achievements. Get $100 for every A. Get $50 for each Perfect Attendance. Get another $100 for each extracurricular activity. For simply continuing to be brilliant students, these microscholarships add up quite significantly over the course of multiple years and remove one of the biggest hurdles for accessing higher education.
