Portfolio Case
In 1999, I asked my dad, being the tool and die engineer he was, if he could help me design and build a metal portfolio case I could take on interviews when I graduated. So dad and I got to work. Ok, mostly dad got to work. I doubt my dad was ever aware what this meant to me. How coveted this metal case was by all who saw it. How I would collect stickers everywhere I traveled, plastering the inside and outside with my memories. That the projects I was most proud of would get placed in this case. I doubt dad was ever aware that if there was a fire, this is what I would grab. Dad, thanks for making more than a metal case.
