Taco-yaki Enamel Pin Design

One of my favorite Japanese food is "takoyaki". It's wheat flour-based batter cooked in a special molded pan. It's filled with diced octopus, and topped with takoyaki sauce, mayonnaise, bonito shavings and green laver.

The "tako" in takoyaki translates to octopus. In the US, the term "tako" reminds people of "taco", which is a traditional Mexican dish. So through a visual pun, I bridged the two by illustrating a "tako" with "takoyaki" toppings, holding a "taco".
