Great Smoky Mountains NPS Spring 18

Heres another of the handful of National Parks x REI Co-op graphics for the Spring 18 season. This one just as the Rainier graphic holds a special place for me. I grew up in Florida and every year my family and I would visit my family in North Carolina in the Great Smoky Mountains (Blue Ridge Mountains). Thats where I first fell in love with the mountains. I remember driving through the Blue Ridge Parkway with my family in amazement at the beauty of the mountains and how foreign it was to me as a Floridian. I especially remember all of the road tunnels carving through them. I loved the old stone walls and feeling like I was in a secret passage. In this design I tried to capture those pictures and feelings I had when I was a kid full of wonder and adventure. I wouldn't be who I am today without those trips.
