We Need Gun Control

The mass shooting at Stoneman Douglas happened in my hometown just minutes from where I grew up. 17 lives were taken. My heart goes out to the families who have lost their loved ones and the children that went through this horrific situation. I wish I could believe that this won’t ever happen again. To our politicians who continue to not take action, I say this:

To the congress members and Trump who refuse to take action on gun control, the blood that is shed from these horrific tragedies are just as much on your hands as they are on the gunman. Thoughts and prayers do not equal action and they certainly do not bring back the lives that were lost.

We need real gun control and we need to address mental health issues. We can do both!
