Art Museum of the Americas Case Study

The Art Museum of the Americas or the AMA
is located in Washington, DC. It is run by the Organization of the American States or OAS and is the oldest museum of modern and contemporary Latin American and Caribbean Art in the United States.

I was looking for a local museums site to redesign and stumbled upon AMA’s. I noticed several UX issues right off the bat and decided to use them for my case study.

I investigated the problem through a process of four phases:
Discovery: research and personas.
Define + Analyze: pain points and prioritize needs.
Ideate + Create: prototype solutions.
Validate: testing and iteration.
