First time using the sketch app for an illustration, start to finish. Wanted to use the new company colours in some illustrations and animations and a cat was a great fit for the caramel colour. This obviously was more of an educational trial of using sketch for the illustration rather than an customer project, go figure :D but now I now: I still prefer Illustrator! haha...
Mainly because there is no import from sketch to After Effects as far as i know and AE never accepted .svg files when I tried. If you know otherwise, please let me know!!!

The motif? My dearest tiny companion: Louie. He is an adorable ball of fluff and has kept me from sleeping the past six months. Its hard to be a mom. Even a kitten mom.

The texture was simply masked on the individual layers. I then used "multiply" as an effect to preserve the colour.
