Vibes Singapore is a coffee table book that takes our readers to neighbourhoods that are beaming with a history behind its plain facade. In conjunction with the nation's 50th year of independence, we take a look at how some of these neighbourhoods have played a pivotal role during the Japanese Occupation of Singapore between the years of 1942 and 1946 as well during our pioneering years of nationhood following the gaining of independence after our separation with Malaysia.
