Al-Balad Illustration

The thriving historic quarter of Jeddah is simply known as Al-Balad (the city). The district's lofty white towers, some dating as far back as the 18th century, were constructed out of local coral limestone blocks (kashoor), bonded together using mud and then reinforced with horizontally placed wooden beams. Our layout design for a diary featuring fold-out sections highlighting architectural treasures of Saudi Arabia.
