Lina Yakunina and I wanted to share with you what weβve done for Dann Petty's #SPACEDchallenge. We decided to focus on the app and to deliver an experience that feels modern but not futuristic. SPACED is a reality and is not targeting niche consumers. Their customers are everyday people who wish to experience new things. The experience is high-end but not the price, however, is affordable (cheaper than a new MacBook Pro;)).
As a first-time user, you discover the 5 destinations and have to decide where you want to go. From taking a spacewalk along the International Space Station to enjoying a SPA in Ceres' thermal waters, you will never be bored. Each destination is unique and so will be the experience.
On a personal note, I wish I had started this challenge earlier. Building a space travel booking system has a lot of complexities which I didn't fully address. I am also not very happy with my presentation (if you can even call my attachment a presentation haha).
Anyway, thank you so much Dann, for creating such a challenge. I'm very impressed by the engagement it created, and by the quality of the work created.
