Faster Web Browser UI

This is a demo of a better interaction model for faster mobile web browsing. Hi-res

The address bar is moved to the bottom, where it's easier to reach when holding your phone, especially with one hand. Common browser tasks, such as opening a new tab, require fewer user interactions.

To view tabs in Chrome: Swipe from top or tap button at the top. This model: Swipe up from bottom (much shorter distance for your thumb to travel)
To close the current tab in Chrome: 2 taps, or a tap and a swipe. This model: 1 long press
To open a new tab in Chrome: 2 taps. This model: 1 double tap

These are simple changes, but I'm constantly wishing that something only required 1 tap or interaction instead of multiple interactions. And it gets annoying reaching my thumb so far to the top of my phone screen when browsing. These advantages are similar when comparing to Firefox for Android.

Not in the demo, but the model would allow the user to switch tabs by swiping horizontally on the address bar, like Chrome. But again, it's much easier to do these interactions near the bottom of the screen than the top.

Please comment and tell me what you think! I used Sketch and Flinto.
