Pixel Chrissie Wellington
Chrissie Wellington is one of the most exciting athletes of all time. She started with shorter triathlons in 2004, but quickly worked up to the Ironman distance (1.2 mile swim, 112 mile bike, 26.2 mile run), and went pro in 2007 at age 30. She would go on to win the Ironman World Championship in 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2011, only missing out on 2010 because of illness. In her 2009 bid, not only did she break the course record for women, but she finished 23rd overall, ahead of most of the men in the pro field. She retired in 2011.
