"Historic Polegreen Church, located in Hanover County, Virginia, was established in 1747, and in the 18th century, served an important role in America’s Great Awakening. It was burned to the ground during the Civil War, and today it serves as a reminder of civil and religious liberties in early America. We chose this structure, known locally as the 'ghost church' to be the image for the cover of the new Elevation Collective project. We loved the visual representation of a church without walls, not limited by racial, cultural, or spiritual backgrounds, simply serving as a structural framework that is only made a church by the people who fill it."
