Book cover for Den brysomme profesjonaliteten

Den brysomme profesjonaliteten (The bothersome professionalism) is about teachers and how they make decisions to achieve the best results for each individual. Should everything be decided by national rules to ensure equality on all schools, or should the teacher be more free to make decisions based on their experience and knowledge about their students? The authors (Jens Garbo and Vidar Raugland) arguments for the latter.

The thought behind the illustration on the cover is that the decision always will be dependant on the person who sees. To be able to make these decisions, the teachers have to see the whole picture – and to do this they must collect impressions and information from different sources and viewpoints.

The color is inspired by the green chalkboards traditionally used when teaching.
