Why 26 January and why not any other date?

India's constitution came into effect on January 26, 1950. The first Constitution of India was handwritten in Hindi and in English (No UI/UX designers and no Fonts to choose from MS word). Purna Swaraj Day was held on January 26, 1930, and hence the then authorities decided to stick with this date as it marks the anniversary of Purna Swaraj day. The constitution gave India's citizens the power to govern themselves by choosing their own government.
