Product Prompt #12 on Product Disrupt Blog

In the era of digital products and viral cat videos, it’s hard to define what’s original and what’s been inspired from something.

I’m a practitioner of the ideology of not reinventing the wheel just for the sake of it. That said, I don’t encourage mindless copying either.

In a nutshell, principles and concepts shall be shared, but differently executed.

I also reached out to a fellow Product Designer and a friend of mine to learn his opinion on plagiarism. Let’s hear it from him.
