First Freedom

I was born and raised in the prairie state, so I had a hard time choosing a single concept (I'm uploading two). This concept is about Illinois was the first state to ratify the 13th Amendment to the Constitution abolishing slavery. This is symbolized by the broken chain, the shield is from the Illinois regiment that fought in the civil war, the three stars symbolize the three parts of the state. North, middle and south.
