Logo design for Best Beer Japan

Logo design for Best Beer Japan - online seller of unique Japanese craft beer.
The concept has been inspired by Maneki-neko, a common Japanese figurine which is often believed to bring good luck to the owner. The orginal maneki-neko holds a koban, a Japanese oval gold coin. In my design, the cat has a more realistic appearance and holds a modern version of koban: a beer caps with BBJ monogram. The color palette is reduced to red, black and white which are essential colours of Japan.
