ODNR Parks & Watercraft Fake Rebrand

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources recently merged two divisions, Parks and Watercraft, together and in the process created a quite bad logo (attached). It feels awkward and forced together. Not much about is logical or aesthetically pleasing.

As a avid hiker and someone who visits state parks regularly, I'm bummed I'll have to be seeing that logo on all official vehicles and signs.

I created a logo that I believe tells the same story but far more simply and elegantly while adhering the the standards of identity design. I'll donate it to the state for free if they promise to use it instead.
