Audrey Kawasaki Cover

This is the book cover of my final project for an Illustration course I took in the Spring of 2011. The objective was to either emulate an artists work, or create a well-designed, informative piece on the artist. I chose to bring together both ideas by first recreating one of Kawasaki's pieces on the cover to learn about her process. I then laid out an interview piece in the interior spreads. Both the book title and headers are hand-drawn custom typography. The book covers are mixed media on wood veneers.
