In 2010 DC Kayak was born from a long-standing problem in the whitewater kayaking community: the lack of a resource which provides accurate and accessible whitewater river flow data in a one-stop-shop format. Travis Bock and Todd Henry created the site and app to solve this problem for Washington DC metro area paddlers. During my senior year of college, I rebranded the organization and gave the site a more contemporary WP theme and a ton of custom CSS to bring it up to speed. The site now looks great on varying devices and works beautifully.
