Kerry Black Photography's website lacked a custom feel as well as proper hierarchy and flow. Working with her ProPhoto 5 WordPress site, I created a child theme that showcased more of who she is as a photographer while providing visitors easy front-page access to some of her most important content. Kerry Black Photography is a Detroit-based photographer who wanted a brand that felt personal, timeless, and airy. Her photography is all about natural light, minimal posing, and capturing her clients just as they are in beautiful, simple spaces. I wanted her logo to represent her personality and style of photography and for her brand to feel fun, fresh, & authentic—just as her tagline states—while allowing her photographs to take precedence.
