The Congressional Club
I had the pleasure of rebranding The Congressional Club—founded in 1908, the original purpose of the club was to provide a non-partisan setting for friendships among the spouses of members of the House and Senate in Washington, D.C. The Club’s primary focus has shifted to serving its community and the Nation with not-for-profit partners.
The script is their primary logotype while the badge and standalone monogram will be used separately depending on the application. Feel free to check out The Club’s original logo prior to the rebrand (attached).
The type I chose throughout The Congressional Club’s identity system is called ‘Gatefold’—a new full family face designed by @Scott Biersack and can be purchased from his and fellow partner’s ( @Winston Scully ) new type foundry Continental Type.
The subtle brush terminals throughout ‘Gatefold’ worked beautifully with the swashes and similar terminals I created for The Club’s hand lettered logotype.
