Calendar Interaction

It is common for users of our product to have more than 5 events running at a given time. I wanted to find a way to maintain the minimal aesthetic of my current concept exploration while still providing all necessary information. In this instance only running events per selected day are highlighted, allowing for more direct navigation. Days with more than 3 events have a pop-up link where users can dig a little deeper.
