Rhino Awareness

Out of 5 Rhino species, there is only 1 male Northern White Rhino left in the world, the last of his kind and his name is Sudan. This is due to poaching.

Several attempts of breeding have failed because he is quite old and artificial insemination has been unsuccessful. He currently lives and is heavily guarded in Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Kenya, along with the only two remaining females of the species, Najin and Fatu.

In the past 3 years a total of 3,444 Rhinos have been killed and it is continually rising due to the demand for their horn. It is used in traditional Asian medicine as a supposed cure for a range of illnesses, from hangovers to fevers and even CANCER. But now, THEIR HORNS ARE MORE AND MORE
COMMONLY USED AS A STATUS SYMBOL TO DISPLAY SOMEONE'S WEALTH. This is very common in China and Vietnam.

Rhino horns are made of Keratin which is pretty much the same as HUMAN HAIR and FINGERNAILS.

Several other animals are on the brink of extinction because of human selfishness and activities such as Trophy Hunting, Climate Change, some Voodoo magic medicine, Fur trade and the list goes on.

You can help whatever action you wanna take to spread the awareness or by donating to the following trusted organizations:
www.savetherhino.org/support_us/donate/donate_now
www.helpingrhinos.org/donate/
www.rhinos.org/give/

We should act NOW before the time comes when our children won't be able to witness this beautiful creature alive. Let's not wait for the moment when rhinos only exist in photographs and historic museums.
