I've been tweaking this lightning bolt illustration for a few years now, moving each corner a pixel or two or adjusting the angles here and there. My goal has always been to make it quirky and fun but not too cartoonish or goofy (an aesthetic that Pixar has mastered). I've explored more and less rounded corners but this seems like a sweet spot.

This is the new logo for Inkdryer, the name I've used for the last 15 years as a design professional — my personal brand. After six years in the startup world I'm dusting off the portfolio and working on a brand new website and looking for new opportunities. This personal branding website and project will take months to complete but I'm planning to go live with a simple site in December, so long as I don't eat too many Christmas cookies and get weighed down.
