Ox Mark Grid

Another look at the logo proposal. Part of a rebranding for a timber app that secures chain of custody for harvest time.

For the mark, I went through a handful of iterations of an ox before arriving at this current one. Oxen were primary driver and mover of cut trees, some smaller logging outfits even use them still. They are dependable and hard working which is a partner you want in the field.

Paying attention to the attributes of the ox was key. Make the horns too prominent, it reads more as a bull than an ox. Keep points sharp and strong to steer away from reading like a dairy cow. Needles to say, a lot of horn shapes were made.

For color, blue was chosen as a call back to the Paul Bunyan's Babe.
