SportCompass

I participated in the Startup Weekend MEGA Copenhagen #CphSW where the participants were introduced to the startup creation method in its whole and then challenged to come up with an idea for a startup where all would compete.

Nowadays, and being true that the job market is super demanding, always asking for superstars, it is only good that newly-grads have the space to grow their skills and, who knows, to come up with a good idea that could be so disruptive that it would change the world!

Above all, this event enabled me to push my skills to the limit, to network a lot with people with different backgrounds and to overall improve me as a professional.

I joined a group which main idea was to come up with a solution for when you're abroad, or you just don't have access to a TV, still be able to watch a football match.

So SportCompass was born! An easy-to-use app where you could type-in your sports interests, know which cafés or venues would display the match you're interested in and even to book a table and snacks at a discounted price for the event!

As a Designer, I was responsible for all the graphic aspects of the idea and the project: from the presentation slides, to the logo, icon, user interface, and so on...

They were 54 very intensive hours, but I'm surely returning. I made amazing acquaintances and had great feedback on my ideas. It was so obvious that there was so much talent per square meter. We unfortunately didn't win the competition, but the earned many other things!
