Dashboard Toolbar - Today options

I have been working on an interface where the user can select the day he wants to review. I found this dilemma, how to show the user that the day he is looking at is "today"?

First option (active) matches the style we use to show that something is active/selected but it also looks like an active button.

Second option (disabled) expresses perfectly that you can not select that day but it doesn't make it clear that it's "today".

Any suggestions?
