Heron

Attempting to draw a heron. The project called for something like or a starting point a goldfinch from Darwin's studies/evolution. My finches kept on looking too fat and I started drawing puffins. I really like the puffin concept, but puffin books already uses something similar to what I was drawing. I remembered the herons in the opening credits of The Lion King for some reason and began drawing them. I wasn't a fan on the unbalanced, yet natural look to what I ended up drawing. Remembered I saw a stork on dribbble recently, so I searched for puffins and storks and loved this concept. Tightened some corners and added some personal/finishing touches to get this heron concept.
