    From being a shield from the heat for the Pharaohs in Egypt through the role of seduction during the Chinese Song dynasty to being an ultimate high class toy in Victorian England - hand fans are much more than a way to cool yourself during a hot day.

    This kind of fans are called “sensu”, foldable and practical type of a hand fan invented by Japanese court in a period from 6th to 9th century.
