Hide and show company selector

A project I am working on at work.
The user wants to select companies to either drill down or compare data, general reports.

In a regular situation, this would be straight up designed into a multi-selection.
But my users don't want to be bothered to select/de-select when they only want to select a single company because they want to quickly drill down in the reports (single selection). The single selection is going to be rare.
