Breaking bread

Had a Friendsgiving today! There's a reason why Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. I think the act of coming together to break bread with people you love is a wonderful thing. Especially when we take time to reflect on the things we're grateful for. When I was thinking of how to position the hands the near-touching hands of God and Adam in Michelangelo's "The Creation of Man" came to mind as I thought about how God provided manna for the Israelites while he led them through the Red Sea.

Psalm 78:24 "he rained down manna for the people to eat, he gave them the grain of heaven."
